Dee Hudson brings a new dimension to textile design in an exhibition that examines various processes in fabric and fibres.
Location – Nucleus Gallery, 272 High Street, Chatham, ME4 4BP
Dates and Times – 28 April at 18:00 – 12 May at 16:00
Each piece of the exhibition is individual and hand crafted. Although she had considered mass production of some designs as a possible avenue to take, she felt that this would depreciate the essence of individuality in her work.
Dee hudson undertakes commissions for fashion accessories and home furnishings but her real passion is in the creation of textile wall hangings using mixed fibres incorporating traditional needlecraft methods.
For this exhibition Dee is showing paintings as well as textiles, her aim being to use these as a starting point for future designs in textiles.
