Nucleus Arts Festival – 6th July – Chatham

The Sparky Project will be hosting a flag painting workshop for this year’s Arts Fest at the Nucleus Art Centre, Chatham.  Pop along from 10am to help create 6-8 sail shaped flags for the processions at 1.00pm and 3.30pm.

At 12.00pm they will also be having a puppet operating workshop with Sparky Champion.

CreataboX will be there too and from 2.00pm until 3.30pm there will be open public workshops where you can add something to the Arts Dispenser.

11am – performance by Steampunk Morris
•11:15am – River Festival Parade
•12pm – Didi Bergman
•12:40pm – Combined performance from Medins Belly Dance & Tribal Banshee
•1pm – Oliver Burgess
• 1:30pm – Walking/performing bus to River Festival & back
•2pm – Comedy Zoo – a collection of comedians performing until 3:30pm
•3:30pm – performance by Steampunk Morris, followed by walking/performing bus to River Festival & back
•4pm – Lupen Crook
•5pm – Phil Woollet
•6pm – Comedy Zoo – a collection of comedians performing until 6:30pm
•6:30pm – Close

Art Exhibition: Nucleus Open Studios, Various Artists, 6th – 25th July. 19 resident Nucleus Artists showing original works of Art, as part of the Medway Open Studios and Arts Festival. Open 10am-5pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-4pm Sunday.

Art Market: Nucleus Arts will have a stall at Medway Coucil’s River Festival at Gun Wharf, where you can purchase works of Art by artists working in many mediums across Kent & Medway.

Workshops: Throughout the day Ciaran from The Sparky Project with help from resident Nucleus Artist Fiona Watt, will be running workshops in our Gallery to make small scale ‘River’ themed parade sculptures to accompany the parade and walking/performing buses.

Parades: On behalf of Nucleus Arts, Medina Belly Dance & Tribal Banshee will be taking part in the River Festival Parade and then as outlined above, they will be acting as a walking/performing bus between Nucleus Artsfest and The River Festival

Magician: Throughout the day Henri White will be providing magical entertainment around the site. (from his website – Multi award winning Magician, Member of the Magic Circle, Young Magician of the Year Finalist, Close Up, Table and Stage Magician).
