Calling Medway’s next Martin Scorsese or Marlon Brando. Young adults in Medway! Get a chance to learn how to make and be in your own films at the same time as developing employment skills for potential work in the creative industries.
The Employment Through Arts (ETA) Project, funded by Natwest, is looking for young adults 17 to 24 who are not in employment or education to take part in a series of creative workshops in Strood, Medway focussed on film making, theatre, teamwork and employability skills. In partnership with Strood Community Project, Physical Folk will be delivering the ETA Project until September 2016.
“This project is a great opportunity for Medway” stated Lance Phillips, Project Lead and Director of Physical Folk, “as many films and TV programmes are filmed here, and with the planned Paramount Theme Park development and expansion of Pinewood Studios, I think it is about time we encouraged our young adults into careers in the creative industries, otherwise these jobs will be sourced from elsewhere”.
Places are currently available to be on the ETA Project, which are limited to 20 young adults. For further enquiries or to book your place visit www.physicalfolk.org.uk and click ‘Employment through Arts (ETA) Project’. Alternatively, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Lance on 0844 660 2787.
