Greenspace and Environment

Peoples wellbeing is strongly connected to the environment they live in, so we love bringing peoples attention to greenspace around them or making their environments more comfortable. Wherever possible our projects relate to the local ecosystem and local heritage.

Fort Amherst Nature Trail

Creatabot were commissioned during March – May 2019 to create a nature trail, bug safari and nature trail guide pack for Fort Amherst. The project was delivered through collaboration with the Friends of The Great Lines Heritage Park and students from Mid Kent College.

Strand Pool mural

During August 2019 Creatabot was commissioned by Medway Council to work with members of the local community and community payback to improve the appearance of Commodores Hard next to the Strand Pool in Gillingham. Inspired by the estuary wildlife, a colourful mural was created using stencils of fish such as Bass, jellyfish and Herring.

“Being asked to help with a project like this is a great opportunity for the Community Payback teams – it offers our groups a different type of work than what they are used to, provides them with the chance to be creative and clearly demonstrates how the work they are doing benefits the community. We know from experience these factors are a huge help in engaging our Service Users, enabling to complete their orders and gain as much from their time with us as possible with the ultimate aim of reducing their likelihood of reoffending.”
