‘Every Day is a New Day’ Social Engaged Practice Traineeship Programme – Turner Contemporary – Closing Date 24th May 2017

Holy Trinity with artist Bethany - small

Are you a Kent based arts practitioner who would like to work within arts education?

Do you have creative and innovative ideas you would like to try out and develop that might connect people to our exhibitions?

Turner Contemporary is seeking applications from Kent based arts practitioners for a Trainee programme to take place throughout Summer 2017. As part of a series of innovative, youth-led programmes around the theme of ‘Art Inspiring Change’ and their Summer exhibition ‘Every Day is a New Day’ they would like to work to develop the skills of local artists and experiment with different ways of including artists, our communities and families in the co-creation of our learning programme.

This is an exciting opportunity for up to 8 Kent based practitioners who are interested in arts education, socially engaged practice and collaborative learning to develop their skills. You may still be at university and considering a career in the gallery sector, or have had a long career in the visual arts but would like to gain experience as a freelance facilitator, there is no age limit or specific qualifications required to apply.

Traineeships will be delivered throughout June- September 2017 (Dates TBC)

Deadline for applications: Wednesday 24th May 2017 at 5pm

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 30th May at Turner Contemporary, Margate, Kent.
