A community centre in Wigmore are holding a creatively-focused weekend and are inviting artistic individuals and groups to come along to exhibit and demonstrate their skills to the general public.
The organisers are looking to present a programme of formal workshops, demonstrations, taster sessions and live music. A large number of displays, demonstration areas and workshops can be accommodated, both indoors and out.
There is no cost to participate in this event, which is supported by Medway Council. A full programme will be published nearer the time which will be publicised and promoted throughout Medway and Kent.
Organiser Paul Warren, says “We hope to attract artists with a diverse range of skills and we welcome individuals, clubs or groups. The intention is that a wide range of artistic activities will be on show and members of the public will be encouraged to try something new. Musicians and dancers can look upon this event to get performance experience and showcase their talents. Artists and craftspeople will have an opportunity to exhibit and sell some of their work”.
Paul added, “We are planning a concert on the Saturday evening and we already have a theatre company and band who will be filling two of the available 20 to 30 minute performance slots, so some more acts are needed.”
